PerfectPryzm "Dare To Live A Dream" (The Klubjumpers Remix)

It's been awhile sense I've made an update, I've still been trying to work on new music in my spare time but just been too busy to really do much.

I recently got an e-mail from Jay (of The Giant Blast) with a clip of the single from some group by the name of PerfectPryzm.  The name of the song was titled "Dare to Live A Dream" and it was remixed by the klubjumpers!  After hearing this single it certainly inspired me to want to move, and to get up and get back to working on some mixes of my own!  The Klubjumpers do a very great job of composing this mix, and the artist blends perfectly over the track as well!  I wonder how PerfectPryzm would sound to one of my 8-bit video game mixes?

D.I.V. "On My Level" (produced by DJ Mega-Blaster)

Check out my new single "On My Level" featuring rising Yonkers, New York rapper D.I.V., with the beat produced by me of course. D.I.V. rips it and uses a lot of video game/ double meaning metephores in the song like "before you hit the next stage you have to see the boss". I sampled the "Game Over" theme from the classic Nintendo Video Game "The Adventures of Dino Riki". Check out the track and feel free to post comments.

I'm Feeling This: The Mora Remake of "Yuck" by 2 Chainz & Lil' Wayne

I'm loving this track and video. I know it's not video game related this time, but I surely want to show love to this track by hot rising new southern artist Mora. In this video he flipped "Yuck" by 2 Chainz and Lil' Wayne, and he did a really great job on it! It's more entertaining than the original in my honest opinion. Can't wait to hear what Mora does on the next joint!

I also want to give a shout out to Jay from The Giant Blast for introducing me to this one! Ya'll keep up the good work promoting for the artists!

2 Player Mode: Interview with Mono Bagends

Check out my Interview with rising New York record artist Mono Bagends.  In this interview we discuss his new single and video "On Fire", his next record and of course.... Video Games (as always).  Read all about what this artist has to say.

DJ Mega-Blaster:  You have a hot single out right now, "On Fire" that has been growing and getting a huge buzz online and with other DJs as well, what are your plans after this single?
Thanks. I have some more fire (no pun intended) in the chamber. I have different options as to what song I am going to release next. I am still recording so there is always the chance the song not recorded yet will jump pass my next planned single. Probably will be a club type of record.

DJ Mega-Blaster:  In your opinion, what makes "On Fire" so.... "hot"?  What made you want to choose this for the single?
Mono Bagends:  Pretty much everything about it. It has a hot beat, great flow, incredible lyrics and a monster hook. I chose the record to be a single because it is inspirational and positive. The way the world is heading everyone needs a record like this to get behind, to make themselves feel good. I want to help people.

DJ Mega-Blaster: This blog combines music with gaming, so do you play any video games at all.... if so which ones?
Mono Bagends:  I really haven't had the time lately but I really love the God of War games....My boy's started calling me Kratos. I was always on that.

DJ Mega-Blaster: Did you play any video games growing up as a child?
Mono Bagends:  Of Course...who didn't...the game I remember most was Bloody Raw...me and my boy Price Achillies used to play that for hours...we would look up and it would say match 100 and the score was 50 -50...good memories...what up Price!!

DJ Mega-Blaster:  Do you remember any video games having any hot background music that stood out to you?  Something that you could picture yourself rhyming on if it was done right?  If so, what were they?
Mono Bagends:  I liked the music on Grand Theft Auto 3...It was cool that you could change the radio station and find different types of music. It would be real dope to be driving around causing massive chaos while hearing myself.

DJ Mega-Blaster: Would you ever consider submitting your music to any of these agencies or publishing companies to have you songs featured in the soundtrack to some of these newer video games?
Mono Bagends:  Absolutely...I could write a record to the specifics of the game.

DJ Mega-Blaster: What is the one thing your fans don't know about you that you would like to reveal now?
Mono Bagends:  I am a very spiritual person. I love talking about God and giving him all the glory for everything in my life.

DJ Mega-Blaster:   Where can our followers find your music?
Mono Bagends:  You can purchase the records on Itunes or Amazon and follow my career on Twitter, Facebook and Youtube. I also have my own blog. More and more keeps popping up so if you Google my name you should find plenty. Also check out my new video "On Fire" on youtube. It has over 47,000 views in a month. Here are the links.

Dolo the Bandit THE HEIST - CODE BLACK OP

undefined

The latest mixtape I'm bumping right now is Dolo the Bandit's The Heist - Code Black Op.  I've been seeing the ads for it for the past couple of weeks in the e-mail blast and what drew me to it was the cover.  It looks kind of like a comic book, and for those of you know that know me I'm into that type of ish!  Comics, gaming, all that mixed with hip hop.  Another thing that drew me to this was just by looking at the cover I could tell that this dude wasn't going to be rhyming over some ol' crunk, sounding mess with sped up high hats and claps for the snare.  Just by the creative artwork I could tell that he would make my kind of music, and he did!

Dolo the Bandit rips each track, and he has a nice beat selection that compliments his rhyme style very well.  Plus each joint is short and to the point, so if you have a short attention span you certainly wont get bored with this mixtape.

If you want to download the mixtape or listen to it for yourself here is the direct link

I actually wouldn't mind working with him, I surely have some heat for him and just judging on the type of material he has he strikes me as the type of open minded lyricist that would give my style of tracks a shot!

2 Player Mode: Interview with D.I.V.

What I've decided to do to draw more attention to my projects and this blog is to do interviews with artists and for my first interview for the segment titled "2 Player Mode" I would like to introduce you to D.I.V.!  I've been receiving his music through the Giant Blast e-mail blasts and I was certainly impressed by his singles, mixtape and videos!   Read up on this artist below....

DJ Mega Blaster:  You have a very hot mixtape out right now, The Vision’s The Foundation presented by The Legendary Ron G., what project do you plan to release after this mixtape?
D.I.V.:  I am going to release the Official Video for U C Me, as well as drop a few other singles with videos. I am currently working on the So O.D. project with my partner Nuf Sed. It will be a duo release and it is a part 2 in our series together. I have also been working on a project to drop at the end of the year, which is going to be very special.

DJ Mega Blaster:  Now this blog combines music with gaming, do you play any video games at all, if so which ones do you play?
D.I.V.:  Yea, in between recording and mixing sessions, the homies and I definitely get into call of duty, street fighter, GTA and blitz. I personally love shooting games... I got a few of the modern warfare joints and I been playing GTA since the first one on Playstation 1. I am really just a social gamer, I don't commit my time to anything other than music. I love games like street fighter because i can just play a few rounds and get back to what I'm doing. Since I grew up playing Street Fighter, its dope to play now, kinda like a flash back.

DJ Mega Blaster: You play any video games coming up, if so which ones?
D.I.V.:   Call of Duty. Who wants to get thier face shot? lol Im really not too familiar with whats coming up, I just know Call of Duty is always coming out with new versions.

DJ Mega Blaster: Do you remember any Video Game having hot or interesting background music that sticks out in your mind?
D.I.V.:   Yea, definitely. Final Fantasy 7 always stuck out to me, i dont know why. Mortal Kombat for sure. Zombies Ate my Neighbors, Tetris, Super Mario Brothers of course... Zelda.

DJ Mega Blaster:  Would you ever consider submitting some of your music to some of these companies to have your tracks featured on a video game?
D.I.V.:  I have been considering this for a while... I would love to get into that. It would be a great look!

DJ Mega Blaster: Would you ever consider spitting over a video game sampled hip hop track?
D.I.V.:   Yea, definitely... I guess marios been done a few times before, but i would be down with that as long as the production was tight. I think its a dope way to catch ears.

DJ Mega Blaster:  What’s one thing you would like your fans to know about you that they may not know already?
D.I.V.: As a kid I used to aspire to be a video game designer around the time mortal Kombat and Primal Rage were out. I used to draw all the characters and write storylines for them and all that. I was even drawing fatalities and special moves lol.

DJ Mega Blaster:  Where can new listeners find your music?
D.I.V.:   http://www.destinyinvision.com.  Special shout out to DJ Megablaster, The Giant Blast and the listeners for supporting real music.

New Instrumental: "Press B to Bounce"

Produced by DJ Mega-Blaster. The voice audio drop/tag was provided by Mr. Boom Boom Bang. This is another instrumental teaser to keep the promotion going for the forthcoming instrumental project I'm cooking up. This beat has 8 bit Nintendo N.E.S. video game sound effects, and the drums has some down south/ mid west "bounce" type of swag to it.

Press B on your control pad to bounce to this track!

Celsius911 "Strip Game" (produced by DJ Mega-Blaster)

This is a DJ Mega-Blaster track that features rapper Celsius911. I'm a member of this digital record pool/ e-mail blast list called The Giant Blast, they keep me updated and DJs informed of new music to break. That's how I found out about this artist and I asked Jay, one of the DJs and guys that run the record pool to get me in touch with some of the artists to see if any of them would be willing to spit a verse to my some of my video game beats, and/or give drops at this artist Celsius911 was down. I'm impressed with what he did to the track. The verse is about strippers too. The slideshow features images of female video game characters in sexy poses (such as Samus Aran, Princess Peach Toadstool, Chun Li and a few more). DJ Mega-Blaster hooks up with The Giant Blast

http://www.blackvibes.com/images/blogs/4-2012/13402-the-giant-blast.jpg

Ok, I'm about to kick this project off the right way!  As I continue to work on my video game music/ hip hop instrumental project, I got up with The Giant Blast to help me get the word out and to generate more buzz for it, so when I release the project the public will already be familiar with the work and know what to expect.

The Giant Blast is an excellent PR, Marketing and Promotions company, and they have a very large e-mail blast distribution list.  I've been receiving the music from their digital record pool for years, and these guys sure know what they are doing, now it's time for them to apply those same methods they use for my music!

If you are reading this blog and would like more information on what they do and their e-mail blast just check them out at this link

"The Bleeding Eyes of Dracula" Instrumental

Ok, finally. Here it is. This is the test instrumental from my forthcoming instrumental project titled N.E.S.trumentals: Soundtrack to 1980s Childhood Memories. The reason this track is titled "The Bleeding Eyes of Dracula" is because I sampled part of the first level from Castlevania from the N.E.S. to make this beat. I originally was thinking of calling this song "The Bleeding Eyes of Jesus" because that does sound like a Castlevania title for an unreleased game, but I decided not too sense it may irk someone, but in all honesty when our lord and savior Jesus Christ was on the cross.... his eyes did appear to be bleeding. Just saying. I plan on releasing more 8-Bit Nintendo video game inspired tracks and music throughout the year so keep looking out for it. If you want to contact me, hit me up at DJMegaBlasterMusic@yahoo.com
